On Claudia Winkleman’s Radio 2 show, there is a feature on little wins such as going through the pockets of clothing you have not worn for a while and finding twenty quid, or eating a kit-kat and finding one finger doesn’t have the wafer.
I get the same buzz when I come across explanations to ideas that may confound that are so good, they can be filed under once seen, never forgotten.
If you have followed me for a bit, you will appreciate that I’m fairly concrete. I really love music, but it suggests that it should be difficult for me to appreciate Jazz.

I also like the ride that the audience is taken on in the Fast Show’s Jazz Club, as some of the renditions are pleasant in spite of the intention that they are superficially rubbish.
