Optimist’s Tables Update

Firstly, a reminder that if you are unfamiliar with these, my explanation can be found at

https://ralphsbiscuits.wordpress.com/2021/03/19/lockdown-living-optimists-league-tables/

I have prepared these tables at 14:00 on Friday 1st October

The Championship Teams have all played 10 games so there is no point in publishing these and the League 2 teams have all played 9 matches, save for two. Bradford and Rochdale have identical Points, Goal Difference and Goals Scored.

League One and the National League have the largest difference between games played and with another International Break looming (YAWN!) League One could be affected once again.

The Optimists Tables shown are for entertainment purposes only and by visiting this blog, you understand that some errors may occur during their preparation and that the writer accepts no responsibility for any usage other than their illustration for entertainment on these pages.

The Optimists Tables are compiled from the point of view of illustrating the team supported and the maximum points they could achieve. Their relative position is shown against all the other teams doing exactly the samesomething which in reality will not be possible as teams have to play each other!

Vanarama National League

The more interesting of the three as the number of games ranges from 6 to 9

League One

A better look for some of the South Yorkshire teams

League Two

Only two sides on eight games, the rest on nine

Lockdown Living – Today’s Poem April 20th

First experience of writing a Sijo and it gave me the chance to be topical

Football should never be a closed shop

The beautiful greed and arrogance

So you six want to break away, your self interest disgusts

Playing in a super league, life membership guaranteed

If ever a hand that fed you was oh so shamefully bitten
